The 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar will take place this November, and it will consist of 32 teams. Unsurprisingly, the biggest event in football will include some of the best players in the world. They will have the honour and responsibility to represent their home country and help it win the 22nd running of the World Cup.
Speaking of footballers, www.cnwindpower.com revealed the top 10 most expensive players at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar in terms of the transfer value cost of a total of €975M. “This number is impressive, to say the least. Although players like Erling Haaland, one of the most expensive strikers right now, won’t be there, the list consists of some of the best in the world”, said the football expert Kris at Nostrabet. He adds, “the top 10 most expensive players will probably have an even higher market value once the World Cup is over”.
#1 Kylian Mbappé – €160M
According to the stats, Mbappé will be the most expensive footballer at Qatar’s 2022 FIFA World Cup. The 23-year-old French superstar is valued at €160M, jaw-dropping even for today’s standards.
Kylian Mbappé is one of the most promising forwards in football and is part of PSG. Despite his age, Kylian Mbappé already has one World Cup trophy under his belt after France won the competition in 2018.
Speaking of his team, Mbappé will represent France, which will have one of the most expensive squads in Qatar.
#2 Vinícius Júnior – €125M
The second player on the list is the Brazillian superstar Vinícius Júnior. Although he is only 22 years old, he is already one of the most promising players in the world. Júnior has been a part of Real Madrid since 2018, and his current market value is around €125M.
Surprisingly, Júnior is the only Brazillian on the list. Usually, Sele??o has some of the most expensive players in the world, but this World Cup is different. Having said that, Brazil will most likely be among the few whose team’s market value will surpass €1B.
Vinícius Júnior will be one of the most important players for his team. The Left Winger will have the honour to play alongside the likes of Neymar and score goals for his country.
#3 Harry Kane – €90M
By the looks of it, England will have the most expensive team at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The number one spot is for Harry Kane because his current market value is €90M. This probably doesn’t come as a surprise because Kane had a huge role in England’s success in the last couple of years.
Nowadays, Harry Kane is still a part of Tottenham Hotspur and is the team’s second-highest all-time scorer. The 29-year striker will try to lead England in the upcoming World Cup and win the event for the second. England won the most prestigious football competition in 1966.
#4 Phil Foden – €90M
At just 22 years of age, Phil Foden is one of England’s most important players and one of the big names people will keep an eye on. Manchester City’s midfielder has been a part of the club since 2017 and has a crucial role. Naturally, this affects his transfer value, which is around €90M.
England always had top-tier midfielders, which is why fans will expect Foden to be on point. It will be exciting to see what will happen and whether the young player will live up to the expectations.
#5 Pedri – €90M
Speaking of young players, the next name on the list is Pedri. The 19-year-old central midfielder will represent Spain. Despite his age, Pedri is one of Barcelona’s core players, which explains why he will be one of the leading players for his country. His current transfer value is around €90M.
Many football experts consider Pedri to be one of the most promising young footballers in the world. Some even compare him to players like Iniesta and Xavi, two of Spain’s biggest superstars. They had a key role in Spain’s World Cup trophy in 2010, so people expect Pedri to help his country win the event for the second time.
Although Spain’s team does not have the same superstars it once had, it will have one of the most expensive squads.
#6 Jude Bellingham – €90M
The next English player on the list is Jude Bellingham. Born in 2003, the young midfielder quickly rose to fame after spending one year at Birmingham City. Following his impressive season, the English superstar joined Borussia Dortmund.
The player’s current market value is also around €90M, which is impressive, considering what the Germans paid for him. According to some sources, Jude Bellingham joined Dortmund for about £25M when he was just 17 years old. Needless to say, this made him the most expensive 17-year-old footballer in the world.
#7 Bruno Fernandes – €85M
Although most people think of Cristiano Ronaldo when talking about Portugal and football, the country has many other world-class players. One of them is Bruno Fernandes, a 28-year-old attacking midfielder.
After playing for Sporting CP for a couple of years, Bruno Fernandes joined Manchester United. The fact that he has to play alongside C.Ronaldo allows him to shine even more, which is why he scored 37 goals in 93 matches for his team.
Fernandes’s current market value is around €85M, making him the most expensive Portuguese footballer. Speaking of his country, Portugal is among the hidden favourites. It will probably be in the top 3 regarding the team’s total market value.
#8 Du?an Vlahovi? – €85M
Although Serbia is not as successful as the other countries on the list in international football, the team has a promising future. One of the reasons for this is Du?an Vlahovi?, a 22-year-old striker.
Despite his age, Vlahovi? is already one of the top strikers in Europe. After spending two years in Fiorentina, the Serbian star joined Juventus, where he continues to impress with his skills.
Since Du?an Vlahovi? is one of the youngest and most promising forwards, his current market value is around €85M. He is undeniably the most expensive Serbian player at the 2022 FIFA World Cup 2022 and affects the team’s total value.
#9 Kevin De Bruyne – €85M
It is safe to say that Kevin De Bruyne is one of the most famous names. The 31-year-old Belgium superstar has been one of the most consistent players in the English Premier League. Since he became a part of Manchester City in 2015, he quickly rose to the top and continues to be one of the world’s top Midfielders.
Despite his age, De Bruyne’s market value is around €85M, making him the most expensive Belgium player at the FIFA World Cup. Some experts estimate that Belgium’s squad will have a total market value of a little over $560M, so Kevin De Bruyne significantly impacts that amount.
#10 Declan Rice – €80M
The last player on the list is also from England. Declan Rice is West Ham’s defensive midfielder with 174 apps for his team. Despite being 23 years old, Rice is one of England’s most important players. Consequently, his current market value is around €80M.
What’s interesting about Declan Rice is that he played for the Republic of Ireland and even made his debut in 2018. However, he decided to make a move to England when he was offered the chance to do so. FIFA confirmed the move, allowing him to make his debut for the English national team in the match against the Czech Republic.
