The Premier League is back with a full set of weekend fixtures as we return to regularly scheduled programming to continue the month of February. There are so many things up in the air at both ends of the table but hopefully, in the weeks ahead, we’ll start to get a bit more clarity. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be a fun clash between West Ham United and Arsenal.
West Ham Form GuideWest Ham United haven’t known days as good as this in a long time. They are the current holders of the Conference League title, they’re going well in the Europa League, and they are as solid as ever in the Premier League. David Moyes has figured out a formula that works, which should serve as a real warning for the rest of the clubs in the top flight this season.
West Ham went to Old Trafford with some real confidence behind them but for whatever reason, they just seemed to fall apart. They were beaten 3-0 in a performance that continued Moyes’ terrible track record at his former home.
Arsenal Form GuideWhile Arsenal are certainly still considered one of the favourites for the title, recent form suggests they aren’t ahead of Manchester City or Liverpool right now. Mikel Arteta knows where the weak spots are in his side and hopefully, he’s made the most of the time off they’ve had. Now, it’s a case of seeing how the Gunners can respond on the pitch.
While they made a few mistakes here or there, Arsenal did their job against Liverpool at the Emirates last weekend. They looked strong from beginning to end as they raced out to a really important 3-1 win to keep themselves in the title hunt.
Match PredictionIn a London derby of this magnitude, we have to imagine that there are going to be plenty of fireworks from both sides here. West Ham and Arsenal are both really fun to watch and we’re excited to see how their styles mesh together, with our formal prediction being a draw.
