The English Premier League is back this weekend with a handful of intriguing fixtures as half of the clubs in the top flight rest up during their portion of the winter break. There’s still so much left to be decided as we continue on through January, and it’s hard not to be excited about what’s to come. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be a fun clash between Bournemouth and Liverpool.
Bournemouth Form GuideWith new owners and a new manager comes great uncertainty in the Premier League - but thankfully for Bournemouth fans, it feels as if they’re slowly but surely starting to turn this ship around. A nice run of form recently has led many to believe that they have what it takes to push away from the relegation zone, especially given the state of some clubs below them.
Bournemouth put together an incredible four-game win streak as they defeated Crystal Palace, Manchester United, Nottingham Forest and Fulham. While they did lose 3-1 to Tottenham, they rebounded with a stunning 3-2 comeback win over QPR in the FA Cup.
Liverpool Form GuideWhile things certainly aren’t perfect, Liverpool Football Club really do mean business this season. There is a level of anticipation in the air for the Reds as they attempt to make another push for the league title, with Jurgen Klopp leading the charge. Now, it’s all about whether or not they can maintain this consistency, especially with such a congested fixture schedule.
Outside of a 1-1 draw with Arsenal in the league, Liverpool have been picture perfect in their last six games. They beat the Gunners in the FA Cup, West Ham and Fulham in the League Cup, and even had time to defeat Burnley and Newcastle in the league.
Match PredictionBournemouth have been on a truly incredible run and nobody can take that away from them - but it must be said that this result feels fairly inevitable given how well the visitors have been playing as of late. Therefore, we’re going to go ahead and predict a Liverpool win.
