We are edging closer and closer to the end of the Premier League season and things are really starting to heat up at both ends of the table. There are so many things still up in the air and between now and the end of May, we expect to see a whole lot of surprises. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be a really intriguing encounter between Bournemouth and Manchester United.
Bournemouth Form GuideBournemouth enjoyed a purple patch a while back and many felt as if they were destined to push on to bigger and better things. In recent weeks, though, they’ve fallen back a bit, but they’re still far clear of the relegation picture. In the months ahead, it'll be interesting to see how they approach things given their position in the league, with a potentially massive summer window ahead.
Following a nice 2-0 win over Burnley, Bournemouth went on a big run. Sure, they were held to a 2-2 draw by Sheffield United, but they went on to defeat Luton, Everton and Crystal Palace, before losing their return fixture to Luton at Kenilworth Road.
Manchester United Form GuideManchester United supporters have spent the last decade experiencing brief moments of joy, but for the most part, their inconsistency has really hurt them on the pitch. Erik ten Hag is the latest manager to try and make a difference at Old Trafford, but there are still far more questions than answers for the Red Devils as we approach a critical few months for them.
After losing 3-1 to rivals Manchester City, Manchester United put together big wins over Everton and Liverpool. Since then, however, they’ve been on a winless run. They drew with Brentford, lost 4-3 to Chelsea and them drew 2-2 to Liverpool - this time in the league, not the cup.
Match PredictionAs always, the Red Devils are incredibly hard to predict - and it wouldn’t at all surprise us to see them slip up here. However, we do think there’s still a slim chance for them in the top four race, which is why we’re fairly confident in saying that we’re going to see a Manchester United win here.
