The Premier League is back with a full set of weekend fixtures as we return to regularly scheduled programming to continue the month of February. There are so many things up in the air at both ends of the table but hopefully, in the weeks ahead, we’ll start to get a bit more clarity. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be a fun clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Tottenham Form GuideThere’s no denying the impact Big Ange has been able to have on Tottenham Hotspur Football Club since becoming manager. Alas, while their style of football has improved dramatically, there’s still a lot of uncertainty in the air when it comes to sustaining that forward pressure. They have a solid squad at their disposal, but their lack of depth could really come back to bite them.
The big problem that Spurs have right now is their inability to see games out. They’ve been struggling to get over the finish line on so many occasions this season and against Everton, they twice let their lead slip in what proved to be a 2-2 draw.
Brighton Form GuideBrighton & Hove Albion are the kind of club that can beat anyone in the league on their day - such is the successful nature of their recruiting strategy in the last few years. They’re also going pretty well in both the FA Cup and Europa League, and while they’ve had a few hiccups here and there, there’s a lot of positive energy flowing through the club right now.
After a big loss to Luton, Brighton needed to respond - and that’s exactly what they did. They cruised to a dominant victory over bitter rivals Crystal Palace, winning 4-1 - and it felt like they still had plenty more left in the tank.
Match PredictionWhen these two sides met just a matter of weeks ago, they went back and forth for the better part of 90 minutes in a really thrilling encounter. We’re expecting to see something similar transpire here, which is why we’re going to go ahead and predict over 2.5 goals scored.
