The Premier League is back with a full set of weekend fixtures as we return to regularly scheduled programming to continue the month of February. There are so many things up in the air at both ends of the table but hopefully, in the weeks ahead, we’ll start to get a bit more clarity. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be a fun clash between Crystal Palace and Chelsea.
Crystal Palace Form GuideThe further into the season we go, the more we’re seeing Crystal Palace fans question the position of manager Roy Hodgson. He’s done a lot of good for the club during his association with the Eagles, but there’s a very real chance that they’re going to be in a relegation battle in the months ahead. If they want to change that, they may need to consider a change at the top.
When you play your rivals, you’re expected to show up and perform - but Crystal Palace failed to do that. They went on the road and received a humbling beating at the hands of Brighton, losing 4-1 at the Amex.
Chelsea Form GuideAfter the first couple of months of the season, fans and media members alike were of the belief that Mauricio Pochettino was the problem at Stamford Bridge. Regardless of whether or not you believe that, there are definitely steady improvements being made by the Blues. Of course, that doesn’t guarantee long-term success, but it’s definitely something for them to build on.
Chelsea supporters are well within their right to feel worried after the weekend. They played host to Wolverhampton Wanderers and instead of thriving on their own home turf, they were beaten and battered in a dismissive 4-2 defeat.
Match PredictionThe Blues aren’t playing very well right now but Crystal Palace are in serious trouble. The Eagles just can’t seem to get anything going in the final third and when pushed for a prediction, as strange as it may seem, we’ll have to pick a Chelsea win.
