We are edging closer and closer to the end of the Premier League season and things are really starting to heat up at both ends of the table. There are so many things still up in the air and between now and the end of May, we expect to see a whole lot of surprises. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be a really intriguing encounter between West Ham United and Fulham.
West Ham Form GuideWest Ham United haven’t known days as good as this in a long time. They are the current holders of the Conference League title, they’re going well in the Europa League, and they are as solid as ever in the Premier League. David Moyes has figured out a formula that works, which should serve as a real warning for the rest of the clubs in the top flight this season.
Inconsistency has been the name of the game for West Ham in recent times. After a 5-0 win over Freiburg, they drew with Aston Villa before a 4-3 loss to Newcastle. They went on to draw 1-1 with Tottenham, beat Wolves 2-1 in controversial fashion, and lose 2-0 to Leverkusen.
Fulham Form GuideIt certainly seems as if Fulham are safe for yet another year in the Premier League, but questions will be asked about how much progress they’ve made and whether or not they’re underachieving after last season. The Cottagers will largely be happy with where the club are at, but they’ll still want a few more answers from the ownership about what the future holds.
Much like their opponents, Fulham can’t seem to get any kind of consistent traction. They beat Brighton, then lost 2-1 to Wolves. They beat Tottenham, then drew 3-3 with Sheffield United, before going on to drop defeats to Nottingham Forest and Newcastle.
Match PredictionIt’s not exactly the most heated London derby you’re going to find, but we do think there’s going to be some good football played between the Hammers and the Cottagers. Alas, it comes down to who wants it more, and we expect West Ham to grind their way through and pick up the win.
