The final game of the day in Serie A on Sunday puts together two Italian football giants, with Napoli the home team, taking on Juventus. It's a massive game, Napoli are desperate to get up into the European spots, while Juventus need to show their credentials again after a blip that's probably cost them a title challenge.
Napoli Form GuideNapoli begin the weekend in 9th, four points off Roma in 6th and eight off Bologna in 4th, that will have all changed by the time this game is played, as it's one of the last of the weekend, but it shows the kind of task ahead. They are unbeaten in three though, and come here on the back of what could be their best performance of the season.
I was really impressed with Napoli, but they did play Sassuolo, who are in the relegation zone. But won 6-1, controlled the game, and were clinical in front of goal. Before that came two draws in the league, 1-1 at Cagliari and 1-1 at home to Genoa, this is a big test on the back of that good win and performance.
Juventus Form GuideIt seems incredible to think that Juventus moved to the top of the league just a few weeks back. Right now, they're 12 points behind Inter Milan, a massive turn around. So much so that AC Milan are chasing hard, and Juventus may be third soon, if they don't turn the corner quickly.
They did win last weekend, a narrow 3-2 win over Frosinone to end their run of four without a win. That was two losses and two draws, and really put an end to their title challenge, it's going to be a massive turnaround for them to chase and put pressure on Inter Milan now.
Match PredictionThis is such a big game at the top, with both teams giving me a reason to feel uneasy about their chances. But given the odds, it's Juventus that get my vote. I am backing them on the double chance market, covering a Juventus win or the draw here, in a game I think will be very tight.
