We have one game in League Two on Tuesday night, with high flying Mansfield taking on the team at the very bottom of the division, Forest Green Rovers. The home side have promotion hopes, the away side, desperate for survival, and a big three points are at stake for both here.
Mansfield Form Guide26 games into the season, and remarkably, Mansfield have lost just twice in League Two so far. They have 50 points on the board, are in 3rd, so in an automatic promotion spot, and are just four points off the league leaders Stockport, with this being a game in hand over them, to try and close the gap.
One of their two losses has come recently, two games ago when they lost 1-0 at home to Crewe. Since then, Mansfield have drawn 1-1 away at Morecambe, so it's just over two weeks since they have won a game now. But they're a top quality team, and this is a great chance for them to push for top spot.
Forest Green Form GuideIt's remarkable to think that Forest Green were playing in the same league as Ipswich last season, they are in a fight for the Premier League, while Forest Green are battling for league status, and potentially, the future of the club, such is the size of what is happening at this football club right now, and it's sad to see.
Bottom of the league, now under the managerial reins of Troy Deeney, Forest Green have now not won a game in their last 11, and fighting what seems to be an incredibly tough task. They have at least one game in hand against those who are safe, but are seven points off safety, so even winning those doesn't get them out of trouble.
Match PredictionI am predicting a big win for Mansfield here. Not at their best recently, but this is a great opportunity to get back on track, and I think they do that, giving Forest Green even more problems to think about.
