We’re at the end of a long season over in France as the nation’s top flight season comes to an end on Sunday. There are still a few key things to iron out as we approach the final set of fixtures but for the most part, we’ve got a pretty good idea of how things are going to shape up. Today, we’re going to be taking a look at the collision between Le Havre and Marseille.
Le Havre Form GuideLe Havre know that they are all but safe in the top flight for another year, and that alone is cause for celebration. We expect to see them really enjoying themselves in a game like this and while they could easily just sit back and be complacent, there’s always a slim chance that a miracle happens for Metz. Either way, we feel like they can start to look to the summer with a bit of confidence.
Nice and Le Havre actually matched one another blow for blow for long spells of their came last Friday, which actually gives us a pretty interesting insight into what we can expect from them both moving forward. Alas, one goal did decide the outcome, with Nice edging out a 1-0 win.
Marseille Form GuideThey may have fallen away in the title race last season, but Marseille still serve as one of the biggest clubs in French football. They have a tremendous fanbase, they have an exciting squad full of real potential, and they come across as a team with ambition. Alas, all of that will be left redundant unless they can make everything click behind the scenes - and with their management.
Marseille played host to Lorient last weekend and for the most part, the visitors looked solid - until Marseille really came into their own and started playing with the kind of fluidity we all know they possess. Ultimately, they picked up the three points, doing so courtesy of a 3-1 result.
Match PredictionLe Havre are more than good enough to cause the visitors problems if they’re able to get going in the final third but in equal measure, there isn’t too much pressure on them given where things stand in the table. In terms of an official prediction, we’re going to shoot for a Marseille win.
