We’re at the end of a long season over in France as the nation’s top flight season comes to an end on Sunday. There are still a few key things to iron out as we approach the final set of fixtures but for the most part, we’ve got a pretty good idea of how things are going to shape up. Today, we’re going to be taking a look at the collision between Nice and Paris Saint-Germain.
Nice Form GuideNice fans still believe that they can make a solid push for the final Champions League spot, and why not? They’ve got a solid squad, a passionate manager, and a fanbase that is willing to follow them into the darkness and beyond. There’s still plenty of work to be done and that much is clear for all to see, but it’ll be fascinating to see how things play out in their next couple of games.
Nice were made to really work for the win against Le Havre and at times, it didn’t feel like they were actually going to pull it off. Alas, they were able to dig deep enough to carve out the result they needed, edging past their opponents with a nice 1-0 victory.
PSG Form GuideParis Saint-Germain fans will be happy to celebrate another league title this weekend, but there are still plenty of questions that remain regarding their long-term future as a club. They faltered in Europe once again, and Kylian Mbappe is set to leave the club in the summer. They’re more than good enough (and rich enough) to rebuild, but we’re not sure what direction they’re heading in.
PSG have taken their foot off of the gas as we head into the final few games and if you wanted any further proof of that, just go and take a look at their home clash with Toulouse from Sunday. They were, in many ways, outplayed by their opponents, slumping to a 3-1 defeat.
Match PredictionThe visitors will want to go into the final game knowing that they are champions, even if we all know it’s pretty much a mathematical certainty at this point in time. Nice, however, will have something to say about that, and we actually think they’ve got what it takes to secure a draw.
