The Premier League returns this weekend with a full slate of fixtures as we prepare to enter the month of March. There’s a lot of excitement and tension in the air at both ends of the table and with so much on the line, there are plenty of reasons to feel hyped about what’s ahead. Today, we’ll be taking a look at what should be an intriguing clash between Nottingham Forest and Liverpool.
Nottingham Forest Form GuideThere’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding Nottingham Forest right now. While there’s excitement stemming from Nuno Espirito Santo’s start as manager, they also have a possible points deduction hanging over their head. The priority is going to be staying in the Premier League, and they certainly have the quality necessary to end up in 17th or higher this season.
Forest went on the road to battle Aston Villa and while they didn’t come away with the result they wanted, they definitely put up a fight. They wound up losing 4-2, but there are positives they can take away from the game as a whole.
Liverpool Form GuideLiverpool are coming off the back of a big League Cup win and while they should be allowed to take time to celebrate that, they’ll also want to keep their eyes on the future. With this being Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge, they need to do everything in their power to help send him out on top - and if they play their cards right, that could mean winning the quadruple.
Despite having a parade of injuries to deal with, Liverpool managed to score a late winner in extra time at Wembley to ensure they defeated Chelsea and won the League Cup. They did, also, come from behind to beat Luton in the league.
Match PredictionThis game has the potential to descend into chaos, and we mean that in the best way possible. Forest know that the Reds are struggling from a fitness standpoint, but in terms of strategy and game planning, there’s no competition between these two. As such, we’re still going to predict a Liverpool win.
