We have four games from the Allsvenskan on Wednesday and one of them is a battle between two sides who are down near the bottom of the table. Vasteras are the hosts, currently rock bottom after a really poor start, and they welcome Varnamo for this one.
Vasteras Form GuideIt's been a dreadful start for Vasteras, and they begin the week at the bottom of the table. From their first eight games, it's been one win and seven defeats, to make life even worse for them, they've scored only three goals so far, and of course, that has to improve. They failed to score in their first four games, and have also failed to score in their most recent two.
They lost 2-0 to GAIS at the weekend, and lost by the same score line the week before against Djurgarden. Much better is expected, and there's of course plenty of time to turn this around, but before I consider backing Vasteras, I need to see something else from them on the field.
Varnamo Form GuideVarnamo are going along a little better, but not too much, though of course, season expectations on their shoulders were not too high anyway. They are in 13th with eight points, following two wins, two draws and four defeats from their opening eight games. They do come here two unbeaten though, and will be looking to stretch that to three.
They played at home to Brommapojkarna at the weekend and drew that game 1-1 while a week earlier, they went away from home to face Hammarby and brought home three points in a 2-1 success. Both wins so far this season have been away, as they also went to Sirius and won, which bodes well for this one.
Match PredictionI think many people are expecting Vasteras to pick things up eventually, but from a betting point of view, they are best left alone for now. I like Varnamo on the double chance market here, covering a draw or them to win the game, I feel like they can take something back and record another positive away result.
